Many girls spend large chunks of time dreaming up their perfect proposal. From the outfit, to the setting, to the secret photographer, most of us know exactly how we want that day to look. Your need to feel loved, cherished and important should be taken into account when you ask your bridesmaids to be part of your wedding. After all, these are the girls you're expecting to dole out large sums of money, worship the ground you walk on at every wedding event, and review 14 different kinds of forks in order to pick out the perfect set. They deserve something special.
I scoured high and low for the perfect way to ask my bridesmaids. Obviously Pinterest and Etsy were my go-tos, but there are so many overdone items. Don't get me wrong; personalized wine bottles, Ring pops and framed childhood photos are all wonderful options. I just wanted something a little different and with a little more pizzazz.
And, that is exactly what I got when I found this confetti-filled balloon from the My Southern Spirit Etsy shop (find it here). It combined all of my favorite things: confetti, drama (a popped balloon spraying confetti everywhere), and the color gold( it comes in a wide variety that will match most wedding themes). Not to mention, the balloons are mailed in the cutest box straight to your bridesmaids' homes.
Check out some photos of this cute idea. Luckily my maid of honor was kind enough to snap some artsy shots when she opened her box. It definitely makes a statement and set the tone for a excitement-filled wedding journey.
Packaging is always important, and this adorable box lets your bridesmaids know that something good is coming.
They open up the box, and boom, there's a balloon! Also, the "Pop Me" pin is very reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland.
The aftermath! Don't worry, the confetti is pretty easy to clean up!
Manners Moral: In wedding planning, it's easy to get caught up in the things that directly affect the big day, but don't forget your bridesmaids. Asking them in a meaningful way will ensure that they feel loved. And, loved bridesmaids are always better bridesmaids.
